For the first time since the start of the pandemic, I’m surrounded by people with Covid.
Who has Covid?
Dear mum, I know you are reading this article, don’t worry me and Eva are safe.
Last week we had SEVEN active cases of Covid in my working place. Seven out of twenty one, luckily I was already working from home that week.
We’ve all been sent home to work for 2 weeks now, until the situation is stable.
Then in my Spanish school, we are missing school mates because they are at home for Covid. Over here I also heard my classmate saying that they know at least 2-3 people in their inner circle with Covid.
Friends and people that I used to hang out with, turn out to be positive to Covid.
What the hell is going on?
Rules changed in Catalonia.
I remember it was the beginning of June, when the government of Catalonia lifted some heavy restrictions: no more mandatory to wear a mask in the open and, night clubs to be reopened.
Finally, from march 2020 we don’t have to wear the mask outside anymore.
They also opened the vaccination to everyone under the age of 40, which means a lot of people are trying to book their appointment to get the Vaccine.

How does everyone get infected?
In Barcelona 20% of residents are not from SPAIN !!! Most of them are between 20 and 40 years old: students and young professionals who live in shared houses with others.
Zam zam zam zam
In the nights clubs, you just need one positive or asymptomatic among others and the booom you have your virus spreaded all over.
Then, they go home, share the kitchen, the bathroom and more with the flatmates and guess what? Everyone is positive to Covid.
Like when this happened to me, follow this link
In my working place one person was positive, and because we share the same working environment, six more became infected.
Even my beloved italian team (3 people) they’ve all tested positive!
And of course, in recent news, they re applied the night curve. Night clubs closed again, and nobody is allowed to be out from 1am to 6 am.
It feels like we are back to September 2020…
I wanted to type this article because this is the first time, since the beginning of the pandemic, that a good part of my inner circle of people I know is positive to Covid.
Some are positive without any reactions, others unfortunately are in the hospital.
Lucky for me, I Have my first shot of Vaccine, still waiting for the second one.
Man, when is this story gonna end?
