In this article I will talk about a Tea Party in the port of Barcelona, in fact, we joined my colleague Cecilia in Port Olimpic.

New Experience
Yeah, it sounds pretty weird but it’s something unique that I never thought I’m going to have a tea party in the port of Barcelona.
Cecilia is part of our Italian team in Hp, and she kindly invited us to try this experience with great perspective for the future when tourism is back!
In fact with my other colleague Massimo we walked to Port Olympic, where this old wooden sailing boat is moored.
Port Olimpic is the same area where I used to take groups for a night out in Barcelona. Lately, the area became dodgy and it wasn’t safe anymore for tourists but also for locals. Last year they cleaned everything, creating more space for new businesses.
Now is safe again.
What we did.
As soon as we arrived Leonardo, Cecilia’s husband gave us a little introduction about the boat’s history and other curious facts.

Cecilia mixed her passions: baking and sea. So when we arrived she just finished baking scones right on the boat!
The smell was indescribable…
Then we set down together to drink tea and eat those fabulous scones.
Proper tradition wants to pair scones with jams. In fact, we had citrus fruits and Chivas Regal whiskey jam, blackberry and pomegranate, and currant jam.
All paired with Mascarpone!!! Epic!
For people from the land like me and Eva, it was very interesting to know stories and facts about the Mediterranean sea and sailsboats.

In the meantime…
We are moving this week and we are very excited. It’s gonna be busy and tiring but we are looking forward to moving and beginning this new challenge.
