How I write my posts: Topics, focus and structures

Fabri About Life, About Me, Uncategorized

Hello FaberPost followers, today I want to share with you How I write my posts: Topics, focus and structures.

Step one, find a topic.

Writing about life’s stories it’s easy because come on… who doesn’t like to talk about themselves???

The only limit about this idea is if life’s experiences slow down, your posts do the same.

Infact after a few exciting months, I’m just cruising therefore finding topics isn’t easy.

But living in a stimulating city like Barcelona makes me curious to study history, local culture and lifestyle, so I always come up with some stories.

Once you center the topic, it’s time to type.

Time to Type

During all the process of how I write my posts, this is probably the hardest part. In Fact, you need to be in the right mood to gather all your thoughts to transmit them to the computer.

You need to be very focused, and sometimes it isn’t that easy.

You have to chase the Cascata di Parole, as we call it in Italian. The cascade of words, once in motion, can’t be stopped.

Your mind, your fingers have to be aligned.

I don’t know if makes sense, but immagine to draw a line in between what you want to say, your mind and finally your finger… When these 3 elements are straight, Booom the Cascata di Parole it’s all yours.

How can I get to that level?

Just sit down in a comfortable area of your house, shut down the internet and start to type.

It doesn’t matter what you are typing, just do it.

Start to tye on how you feel today, why you can’t focus.

This is my favourite set up:

  • Morning after breakfast
  • Coffee
  • House music in my ears. Here a good Link

In this mood I typed a few of my favourite articles for my blog: like How to find job in Barcelona and How I get the NIE.

I am so focused that I can’t be bothered by anything.

It does relax me, it helps me to put down my ideas, and calms me down.

I love it.

One the draft is ready, boom psychologically I’m done, but unfortunately I am waaaay far from being done.

How I write my posts
Make it Smooth

Working as a guide in the past helped me a lot in this process, because one thing is to type it, another one is to read it.

In Fact the idea behind  is simply making sure that what ever I typed sounds smooth.

After I check the grammar and I read it again and again, making sure that whatever I am saying makes sense.

Typing in my second language I found it more challenging and I love it.

Nothing wrong with Italian, infact from 2012 to 2019 I’ve written only in my own language.

It’s good to step up.

And it’s gonna be an awesome memory for me and Eva for the future. Immagine reading back this article maybe in 20 years.

Yes I will be still typing.

“Hhhhhoo the music is so loud now in my hear it feels soo goooooood.”

Here is an example of my feeling when I am typing and music, mind, fingers are aligned.

Perfection, you really open your feelings.

Anyway, let’s get back to the topic.

Once your ideas are ready, you need a reality check by your SEO.

SEO is King

Yes you need to master it, because it can give you massive help.

SEO or “Search engine optimization” analysis is very important because helps you to structure the post: words, headlines, length of sentences, etcetera.

The title and the content has to be aligned to ensure the best optimization of search results.

This is a new part for me as well, therefore I am thinking to follow online courses on SEO.

I will let you know…

Then off to the fun part.

Pictures and Publishing.

This last part is probably the easier of how I write my posts. The article is ready, everything is smooth and it’s ready but… Pictures and gifs make it more fun. At least to my eyes.

I find it easier and more enjoyable to read an article with a lot of pictures.

Once you upload the pictures, the only step left is to post it.

And that’s it.

To wrap up, I found it in the beginning to be a very hard process, but now… well it is still a lot of work. With time it gets easier to type, but after Cascata di Parole there is more and more work to do.

It’s a learning curfew…

Hopefully you enjoyed this article, because this is really how I write my posts.

Last thoughts.

I have an idea that I want to fuel, and I need inspiration.

I would like to create a YouTube channel with Eva about lifestyle, travel and cultures.

Why?

Because we are a couple who lived together for a long time, and we traveled and lived across the world. AND we are originally from the opposite site of the globe, so culturally we are VERY different.

Plus we live now in one of the most exciting cities in the world, Barcelona.

Eva likes making videos, I like creating content and preparing scripts.

I mean it can be an idea to engage with the rest of the world.

I would love to do that, but so far it’s just an idea I honestly don’t know even where to start.

For now it is all.

If there is news…you will SEE them!
