La mattina abbiamo girato tutte le agenzie del centro, chiedendo se avevano qualche informazione riguardo lavori in farm, ma la risposta è sempre stata quella: NO, thanks. Pomeriggio avremo fatto venti telefonate tra agenzie di lavoro, guide specializzate e altro. Stiamo attivando tutti i nostri contatti, conoscenti che hanno avuto esperienza nel campo. Domani ancora qui ad Adelaide poi forse noleggeremo una macchina per andare direttamente in farm a chiedere.
Rimane sempre l’idea del woffing, ma vedremo.
Abbiamo anche deciso di chiamare un’agenzia per farci aiutare, pagando ma questa ci hanno risposto cosi’. Le agenzie sono gruppi in stretto contatto con le farm che in caso abbiano bisogno di manovalanza contattano queste agenzie.

Thanks for your enquiry. We can not promise you work straight away. Currently its still a bit slow cause growers have to see what the market and prises are like and if new orders are made furthermore the worksituation is weather depending as well as the demand of fruit and vegie’s all over the world. We’re still waiting for the sugar level to increase.
Short description about work throughout the year.
The work situation here fluctuates. Sometimes we have more people than work – sometimes we have more work than people. Our busiest season which happens to be our longest season is the Citrus season. April towards the end of the year (usually more work than people).
October until February/March is the season of Stonefruits (sometimes more,
sometimes less work than people) which is followed by the Grape season (sometimes more, sometimes less work than people) right into the Citrus season.
Other jobs, fruits and vegie’s are likely to be available throughout the year
(sometimes more people than work ).
It may take 3 days or up to a week to find a job which might be short or long term or you may be lucky to get something straight away. Please bare in mind that we do NOT guarantee success in finding work.
If you decide to come we will do our best to help you find a job. An own transport would be an advantage and gives you priorities.

Dopo i diversi “no” ricevuti ieri, oggi abbiamo deciso di pianificare i prossimo giorni.
Noleggiare un mezzo e lasciare Adelaide, per bussare porta per porta in ogni farm.
Presentarsi di persona e chiedere di lavorare. Perché dalla città, puoi fare tutte le telefonate, email che vuoi, ma nessuno ti aiuterà. Dato che il tempo stringe, penso che sia meglio passare all’azione. Domani mattina abbiamo noleggiato per cinque giorni una macchina, con cui gireremo per ogni farm nel nord di Adelaide.
Caldissima, sembra di stare a Milano nei peggiori pomeriggi di luglio. Un caldo della miseria, e manco una bava di vento. 35 C tutti il giorno, invivibile. Da qui solo no, spero che da domani un po’ di fortuna cominci a girare!!!
